I came to the United States at the age of eighteen not knowing how to speak English. I had $240 in my pocket and an unflinching determination to work hard and be a productive member of society. I put myself through junior college, university, and law school all in Orange County, eventually earning an undergraduate degree, MBA, and a law degree. My strong work ethic and devotion to administering justice with fairness, integrity, and independence stem from my deep appreciation for the life I’ve built in our great country.
For 25 years, from April 1997 until February 2022, I had the honor of serving and protecting the public as an Orange County Deputy District Attorney and for the last 4 as a Senior Assistant District Attorney. I tried over 120 jury trials to verdict, helping put murderers, domestic violence offenders, and rapists behind bars. I’ve also handled some of the most serious public corruption and hate crime cases in the county. Because of my experience and reputation, I’ve trained other prosecutors and police officers both in Orange County, throughout the state of California, and even across the United States on prosecutorial ethics and ethical police investigative practices.
I have been honored as “Outstanding Prosecutor of the Year for the State of California.” I also received the “Diligent Prosecutor Award” from Mothers Against Drunk Driving along with the Sherwood Prize from the Anti-Defamation League “for combating hate and prosecuting white supremacist gang members.”
I humbly seek the position of judge with significant deliberation. I have no agenda other than serving justice one case at a time in the public’s courtroom. I understand completely that the decisions I make have a lasting impact on the lives of real people. While not everyone leaves the courthouse satisfied with a ruling, it is crucial they leave knowing that the process was fair and independent.
I’m proud to have a diverse coalition of support from judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, law enforcement, public safety, and community leaders. I would be proud to earn your vote and serve as your Superior Court Judge.
